Photo of Tami GouveiaTami Gouveia is a Democrat running for the 14th Middlesex State Representative seat. She has spent the past 15 years as a public health leader, working to protect people from addiction and the opioid crisis. Tami has served as the Director of Programs at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, founded the Lowell Roundtable on Substance Abuse Prevention, and served as the Executive Director of Tobacco Free Mass. These jobs have given her opportunities to collaborate with parents, youth, local leaders and business leaders, and workers to create a healthier, more fair place for the people of Massachusetts. In 2016, she made history by founding the Massachusetts Chapter of the Women’s March on Washington. Tami currently works as the Project Director at Rethink Health/The Rippel Foundation.
